Dear terrific parents,
This week:
* We watched Mojo. Mojo taught us how to grow our brains. Mojo taught us that the more you try the more your brain grows. He also taught us that if we give up our brains will get lazy, but if we keep working our brain will get strong. Mojo told us to never give up and keep trying. He also said that if you can't do something just think... I can't do it... YET!
* This week we worked on kindness art. It looks like you are holding the world in your hand. (or you could pick a sun) Our art is very beautiful. It will go up in the hallway and help everyone in Oaklands be kind.
* This week we worked on reading every day. First we do reading alone. We don't talk to our friends. When it is reading together we can read a book with our friends. Every day except Wednesday we read with Mr. Marta's class in his room.
* This week in writing everybody wrote. Some people wrote stories. First we have planning, then silent write, then work on write.
* We are going to do gym later this afternoon. We don't know it yet, but we are going to play Dungeon Ball.
* On Tuesday and Thursday we do KM. Club. You have to run laps around the field, and every five laps you get a sticker on your running chart. Three laps is a km.
* We got to go to the purple park on Wednesday with Mr. Marta's class. Mr. Marta played tag with us.
* Today was BK's birthday. We sang to her, we played at the back park, and we read a story she picked from the library. Happy Birthday, BK!
* Every day we do brain bins. We switch brain bins with Mr. Marta every week.
* We are studying worms in outdoor ed. We are feeding the worms pears, apples, compost, grass and leaves. Today in outdoor ed. we also made leaf rubbings and played mirror tag.
